Justice Talks is a new series from The New York Women's Foundation that features the stories of their grantee partners as they build power in their communities.

In the series premiere, NYWF welcomes Yolo Akili, founder and executive director of grantee partner Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM) to discuss his journey as a leader in progressive wellness work, removing barriers to healing for Black communities, and creating community-based systems of care.
